Fix "Power Calibration Error" While Burning CD/DVD

3-4 month ago I was used my DVD burner last time to write DVD. Today after 3-4 months I tried to write an image file to the CD using PowerISO. Few seconds from burning process is started it is showing something like (60x00000000...) error message.  I thought it may be a problem with Power-ISO S/W.  So I used Power2Go software, again the same problem appeared. I wasted my 3-4 CDs. Then I installed Nero-8 on my computer and tried with it.. but here different kind of error message occurred "Power Calibration Error" and "Could not perform end of disc-at-once" error message.

After wasting time and money I searched on the internet to fix this error. And I tried given suggestions. Here you will find the methods which have solved my problem...

There could be several possible reasons and solutions for the above error, basically what is happening is for some reason the CD/DVD burning software is unable to determine the Optimum Power Calibration rate (a small pre-burn test to determine optimal laser power for writing), resulting in a disk burn failure. There is no easy way to pinpoint the exact reason, so try all the possible fixes from top to bottom (easy to hard) and see what works:

1]  Try using different brands of quality blank media, the most common reason for such error's is cheap blank media.

2] Try burning at lower speeds (Highly effective).

3] By blowing laser lance. Clean laser lance smoothly by soft cloth and blow air from it.

4] Disable IMAPI Service (Work's in most cases):
    1. Launch Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services .
    2. Browse for "IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service", Right-click on it and select properties.
    3. Change Startup Type to Disabled.
    4. Click Apply and Reboot.
5]  If all the above fails the problem is definitely related to hardware and not software, Go ahead and get your burner laser lens cleaned by a professional.

Best Of Luck, do post your results in comments.
